OVERVIEW

PatientPay is a Raleigh-Durham, NC-based healthcare technology company, focused on improving the healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) experience for patient, providers and their RCM partners. Our patient billing and payment solution helps solve the complex financial challenges facing healthcare providers and RCM organizations. Unlike traditional vendors, PatientPay is a technology-first approach to billing and efficiently capturing patient payments throughout the continuum of the patient care.

 We are searching for an Account Manager with a client-first attitude. This is a strong opportunity for someone with patient billing and payment experience who may be in the first 5 - 10 years of his or her career. The Account Manager should have strong communication and relationship management skills, along with an excellent understanding of the healthcare RCM market space. Experience at a healthcare fintech, provider or RCM organization is a plus. 

WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT TO DO

  • Lead the relationship once the partner or client is live.

  • Be the voice of the client while representing PatientPay to properly manage expectations and ensure client success.

  • Help advance the partner or client’s use of the PatientPay solution.   

  • Assist with pre-sales and implementation activities as needed, including deployment and configuration of the solution for new clients, as well as training and business analysis of current deployments.

  • Provide feedback and analysis of the market needs and solution viability to our Product Management team.

  • Become an SME on the PatientPay solution and how it fits in the market vs competition and partner solutions.

  • Work remotely and effectively. However, be in the Raleigh-Durham office as needed.

JAVA DEVELOPER

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a JAVA Developer to join our incredibly dynamic development team.  Are you focused, self-motivated, and have previous development experience?  Do you want to join a creative and collaborative development team in a fast-paced company?  If so then we want to talk to you! 

The successful JAVA Developer should possess a strong background of JAVA programming experience.  In this role, the JAVA Developer would be responsible for working with the software development team to further develop the PatientPay portal application and troubleshoot product defects.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the software development team to design and code the PatientPay portal application.

  • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.

  • Develop MYSQL queries and ad-hoc reports as needed.

  • Hands on experience with MYSQL clustering, replication, and partitioning.

  • Participate in the daily scrum and sprint planning.

  • Independently solve complex problems and introduces new perspective using existing solutions
     

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 years JAVA/J2EE experience.

  • PL/SQL, Hibernate, Tomcat, JSP

  • UNIX Shell script, Spring, Struts, Web Services, XML

  • Familiarity with MySQL DBA tools

  • Javascript framework experience (i.e. Jquery, etc.)
     

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience working with X12 EDI 837/835 claims processing.

  • Experience working with HL7 Standards.

  • Experience working with X12 EDI 270/271.

  • Experience working with Linux servers

  • Experience using Mirth Connect.
